Ensign V'ling was bustling about on his Strategic Operations Console on the Main Bridge when all of a sudden a ping showed up on his Console. After investigating the ping, he found that it showed Breen movement on a flight path towards Tau Cygna. He immediately activated his Com-Badge and called for the Commander. "Ensign V'ling to Commander Cache?".

"Cache here." He replied. The commander was just finishing up putting on his fresh uniform after that fiasco in his Mess earlier. "What can I do for ya, Ensign?"

"Commander, you had better get up here right away. Your going to want to see this." V'ling replied with a sense of urgency in his voice. The commander, sensing this, immediately arose and said "On my way Ensign."

A few minutes later, the Commander was standing next to the Ensign looking at the same thing the Ensign saw. "This isn't good. Not good at all." He replied. Johnny activated his Com-Badge and Called for several people. "Commander Cache to Lt. Drevas, and Chief Warrant Officer Kikux. I want you both to report to the Main Bridge at once. Lieutenant Drevas, I want you to bring Ensign V'Lelyrk and Ensign Veillon with you as well please." He said with the same urgency that V'ling had called him with.

Drevas had come into this assignment knowing it'd be dangerous - quite likely more than his first few had been. He had, however, not expected things to warm up so quickly. Talk about being tossed into the deep end. Being tossed into the deep end and emerging alive from it was a skill he'd picked up over the years, though. He grabbed the Vulcan, with whom he'd been having a one on one meeting, and the other junior officer on duty outside, and arrived at the main bridge double time. "What's the situation?" He asked.

Chief Warrant Officer Steeyen Kikux had been in the midst of a long range teleconference with other diplomatic officers aboard other vessels and stations when he had gotten the call to report to the Bridge. "Right away, Sir." He hurried to the Turbolift and had it take him to the Main Bridge where Commander Cache and the others were standing already next to the Strategic Operations Console.

Commander Johnny Cache looked at Drevas. He had been chatting with Ensign V'ling while the others were on their way. "Ah, good. Your here Mr. Drevas, Mr. Veillon, Mr. V'Lelyrk, and Mr. Kikux." He said, nodding at each of them in turn. "The situation is grim. It's no longer something that can wait. The Breen are on the move towards Tau Cygna. We must find out what they are up to and why they are heading for Tau Cygna. At warp factor 9, we can have a team from the K-13 be at Tau Cygna in less than a day. The breen are still 3 days away. I want you, Mr. Drevas; to lead the team I have gathered here today on our fastest shuttle to Tau Cygna 5. Meet with the local officials there, see what they know about the Breen already and then warn them of the Breen's movements heading towards them. Also, See if they require our assistance against the Breen. Report back here once the away mission is complete." He said with grim sincerity.

Yes, just one day in and this was what he needed to do. Once more Drevas hadn't exactly not expected to not need to get his hands dirty, but this was just one step up above even that. "I will require a medical officer to accompany us as support, as well as a minimum of two hours to prepare, sir." Drevas informed him politely. "I expect that despite our best efforts we may still make contact with the Breen - and then the encounter shall, in all likelihood, not be pretty. I hope you understand. What other intelligence do we have on this occurrence?"

"Not very much I am afraid. Unless Starfleet Intelligence is aware of something that I am not. In terms of your team requests, I will send Petty Officer 3rd Class Kitre Dond with you as the medical personnel. He is quite experienced and I am confident he will be sufficient for your needs. I cannot afford to have my only Medical Officer currently aboard the K-13 leave it. In regards of further Intelligence, I am willing to do you one better." He then activates his Com-Badge and calls for Lt. Teach. "Commander Cache to Lt. Teach, report to the Main Bridge at once and bring Petty Officer Badol with you please." He then turns back to Drevas and says "We will see what Starfleet Intelligence knows about this, if anything at all and then they will accompany you on this mission. Lt. Teach is our new Chief Of Intelligence of the Starfleet Intelligence branch here at Starbase K-13. If anyone knows anything further, it will be him." He stops for a moment, considering something then says "Oh, and Drevas. If it comes down to it, Chief Warrant Officer Kikux here has the final say on things as the Diplomatic Officer on the mission UNLESS it comes down to the safety of the Away Team and I am sure I need not remind you about General Order 1." He says with a stern expression but with a hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.

"Of course, sir. We shall exercise the utmost caution in our dealings." Drevas looked to the turbolift. Anytime now their new intelligence officer would emerge from the turbolift, surely - it'd be better for them to talk face to face and decide what to do next that way.

Teach just arrived to his quarters had tossed off outer uniform jacket and cane on to the bed when the com badge chirped. “On my way Sir!”
“Va!” He exclaimed to himself “their already on the move!”
Grabbing his jacket he slid it on while making his way out of his quarters making sure it fit securely concealing the mek’leth he kept harnessed to his back, too many years and too many situations has taught him not have it with him.
“Really?! You met him!” Teach asked Badal, who he picked up along the way
“It was several lifetimes ago Sir, but would say Archer was the best…”
Their conversation ended as the turbolift doors opened to the bridge revealing the urgency of the matter. They stepped down to join their counterparts. “Let me guess their on the move?”

Commander Cache looked over at the half Klingon walking onto the Main Bridge. "Yes Lieutenant. Indeed they are. They are headed towards Tau Cygna. I need you all to go to Tau Cygna 5, meet with the officials there and find out what they know about the Breen. Warn them about the attack but be careful about General Order 1 if it applies. Does Starfleet intelligence have any idea what interest the Breen have with the Tau Cygnan's?" He asked, looking at the new Chief of Intelligence.

Teach tapped a few commands on the console in front of him and a holographic projection of Tau Cygna appeared.
“What I am about to tell you has only came to light within the last two weeks; we have known that they were amassing a fleet at edge of their space for some time. But it wasn’t until we officially received word back from our operatives as to why…” looking about the room he let out a soft sigh, ’so many young faces but this is why we are here’ he thought. “Computer…secure link to Avalon Base, authorization Teach 7-8-2 Red.”
“Due to location that requires additional authorization.”
Looking at the commander “Sorry..”
“pah doQ Cha boqlar!”
Instantly the entire bridge went dark, minus the display in front of them, and all access was sealed. The display of the planet changed to that of a cylindrical device that glowed from the center. “As we all know Tau is a class H planet; which is…suitable for terraforming. The Breen are looking to expand their territory” tapping a couple of commands the display changed to an overview of the region’s territory “ our belief is that they are forming a forward operating base to advance towards…” tapping a few more times as the image slide towards…”Cardassia. As you all can image this can not happen….Questions or should I turn the lights back on?”

"I am sure that is plenty for right now. Its been a very busy day for all of you but the day is not over. Computer... release bridge enhanced security... Authorization Cache 1-1-2 Alpha." Immediately the lights came on, the door locks released, and the Turbolift reactivated on the Main Bridge. "Thank you for that information Mr. Teach. If nobody has any further questions or concerns, then this briefing is over. You all leave in exactly two hours. Make the necessary preparations and then meet in the Shuttle Bay when its time to leave. Good luck and stay safe." He concluded as everyone dispersed to make their specific preparations in order to ensure the success of the Mission.

Commander Cache turned back to the Strategic Operations Console, shaking his head and whispering to himself "This is not good. Not good at all."

*Continued in - Shuttle Bay*
